Our involvement in the social environment

A beautiful story, about special people and wonderful children.

This is the most suitable description for the Maria Beatrice National Pediatric Center in Alba Iulia, where people work with dedication and with hearts full of warmth and understanding, for children in difficulty.

In these complicated times we live in, it is absolutely necessary to be aware and united and to show solidarity with those in need, especially with children who represent our future. It is our duty, all of us, to show that we care and that the health and acceptance of children is a priority for our society.

Over 30,000 people and 270 companies have joined the cause of the Maria Beatrice Center, building and supporting the center exclusively through donations and sponsorships, in the therapy and monitoring of premature infants, victims of accidents and cerebral palsy. It is an impressive effort, made by people of good faith and with big hearts, for children in difficulty.

We, at DN AGRAR, wanted from the very beginning to join those who support such actions and build a future for these wonderful children, who with so much courage and decency, fight their battles, often with a smile on their faces – giving us all true life lessons.

We are a reliable partner for the Maria Beatrice Center, in this beautiful journey they have embarked on, in building a hospital for children with disabilities and their families. For over 8 years, we have been supporting the Center’s cause, with our company investing over 1.5 million lei until now, and we hope that our example will be followed by all those who wish to support and show solidarity with this cause.

We stand alongside Maria Beatrice Center because we believe that life with disabilities should be dignified and surrounded by love and empathy.

Supporting educational institutions and local communities

In addition to the support provided in the field of social assistance, we at DN AGRAR are proud to be directly involved in the social and educational system by providing free support to primary educational institutions in rural areas with deficient infrastructure, as well as teaching primary school students about animal husbandry and agriculture.

As a company that supports our community, we are dedicated to helping improve education and creating a better society. Through this initiative aimed at improving the quality of education in rural areas, we help students learn about the importance of animals in our lives and encourage them to take care of the environment.

Within these programs, schools and local communities receive assistance from our experts and are encouraged to identify the problems that students and the educational process are facing on certain segments, so that we can support them in finding and implementing solutions to solve them.

We are open and participate, together with local communities and authorities, in programs that promote local businesses, by providing financial support and assistance to educational institutions in the areas where we operate. We are proud to support education and contribute to the development of our community.

Internship

Another area in which we are involved is helping to prepare a new generation of young and professional farmers who will ensure the intergenerational exchange in farms by offering internship opportunities within the companies of the DN AGRAR Group.

At DN AGRAR, young people who choose the internship option have the opportunity to work in a modern cow farm and thus have access to the latest technologies and good practices for raising and exploiting animals.

Additionally, if young people choose the Agriculture field for their internship, they benefit from training in the DN AGRAR agri-business field, where they improve their knowledge of agricultural practices, discover specific techniques and methodologies in this field, in a “learn-by-doing” program where participants learn by practicing the work itself.

We need intelligent, creative, discerning, and enthusiastic people. This program aims to identify future professionals in Animal Husbandry and Agriculture, who will have the opportunity to learn alongside the professional team of DN AGRAR.

NGO Collaboration

AGRI EDU & DN AGRAR

The Association of Excellence Center for Agro-Food Educational Resources and Sustainable Development (AgriEDU CEX) was founded in 2021 with the aim of promoting local, regional, national, and international cooperation to support reforms in the agricultural education sector in Romania, involving the education sector and partners from the business environment, supporting government institutions, and local authorities.

The association operates based on a partnership established with the Green Table of the Netherlands as part of the internationalization acceleration program of GroenPact, the platform on which Dutch ecological education institutions, the business community, and civil society organizations have joined forces with the Dutch Ministry of Agriculture, Nature, and Food Quality.

The association promotes sustainable partnerships for green education by collaborating with stakeholders in Romania to carry out activities to increase the capacity of the agro-food education sector to adapt educational processes to market requirements and increase the attractiveness of the agricultural sector for the younger generation. These activities include training courses, internships, study visits, workshops, seminars, and inspirational events on priority topics in the agricultural sector.

Starting in 2022, DN AGRAR has launched a collaboration with the AgriEDU CEX Association to support and directly involve ourselves in the educational system.

We will begin a series of visits to high schools and universities in Romania, where we will join the AgriEDU CEX Association as a support in the programs and projects it carries out, based on Romanian-Dutch collaboration in the field of agricultural education, aimed at pre-university, university education, and the business environment.

Our involvement is particularly focused on education in the agro-food sector, and we support collaboration by providing access to internships and the possibility of carrying out various educational projects for students and pupils about the companies within DN AGRAR.

These actions are intended to stimulate access and support partnerships by facilitating access to modern educational resources and tools, supporting the training of the new generation of farmers.

DN AGRAR is constantly involved in the social life of the community, actively supporting long-term projects and offering a conducive environment for professional development. We are responsible people willing to offer our own experience to improve work habits, and we make a valuable contribution to Romanian society.
