
Project to reduce methane emissions through Gold Standard Composting

Through five specialized farms: Apold,
Cut, Lacto Agrar, Straja, and Prodlact (young cattle breeding).
Managing over 7,000 hectares of land in the counties of Alba, Sibiu, and Hunedoara, with the objective of reaching 10,000 hectares through the acquisition of new farms.
Through DN AGRAR Logistics, a company that owns a modern fleet of vehicles and specializes in logistics and freight, cereal, and cow’s milk transport services.
Through DN AGRAR Service, which ensures the provision of quality agricultural services for the establishment of cereal crops for the companies within the DN AGRAR Group.
DN AGRAR practices circular agriculture and already operates a composting unit, planning the expansion of these composting installations to the other farms within the Group.

DN AGRAR and BSOG Energy, an energy company focused on developing biomethane production plants across Romania owned by Black Sea Oil & Gas, announced the signing of a cooperation agreement for a biomethane production facility in Romania, with a total capacity between 15 to 20 MW.
Through the compost factory project, DN AGRAR manages efficiently the manure and increases soil fertility, actively contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions. This initiative demonstrates DN AGRAR’s commitment to the principles of circular agriculture, as a promoter of it.
One of the projects started in 2023 is the Straja Project, namely the construction of a new farm with a total capacity of 5.000 animals, meaning 4.000 dairy cows and 1.000 young cattle, which will have 2 milking rotors and will be built on a total area of 10 hectares.
