Financial Business Controller, full-time

DN AGRAR seeks a highly motivated and experienced Financial Business Controller to play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of the company and its individual affiliates.

This role is pivotal in providing in-depth operational and financial analysis and data control to drive informed management decisions. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and analyzing the necessary financial and non-financial reports, will contribute with requirements to the development of automated reports and will ensure data integrity and accuracy across ERP and BI tool.

This position requires a strong analytical skillset, experience in analysis and data interpretation, and cost control. Furthermore, this role requires collaboration with farm managers and operational teams to ensure accurate budgeting and forecasting, with a key focus on cost production and farm-level profitability. Also, this role contributes to internal audits in order to address and find solutions for important business issues identified during the operations.

Duties

Core Responsibilities
• Reporting & Analysis: Create and analyze financial and non-financial reports to provide actionable business insights.
• Systems Development: Contribute requirements for the development of automated reports and ensure data integrity across ERP and BI tools.
• Operational Collaboration: Partner with farm managers and operational teams to manage budgeting and forecasting.
• Profitability Focus: Maintain a key focus on production costs and farm-level profitability.
• Internal Audit: Contribute to internal audits to identify and resolve critical business issues within operations.

Responsibilities

General reporting and monitoring:
• Creates the necessary financial and non-financial reports required for management decisions, at group level or company level.
• Analyzes the reports and raises the points of attention on the key aspects of the business.
• Contributes with requirements to the development of automated reports in the digital reporting system.
• Ensures data integrity and accuracy across financial reporting systems.

Forecasting:
• Collaborate with farm managers and operational teams to ensure reliable forecasting and analysis outcomes.

Cost controlling:
• Analyzes trends, risks, and opportunities, providing insight and recommendations for operational efficiency and cost-saving measures.
• Analyzes cost accounting records, focusing on product costing, inventory management, and farm-level profitability.
• Oversees the financial tracking of agricultural inputs (seeds, fertilizers, livestock feed, medicine, etc.) and outputs (crop yields, livestock production, milk production).

Participating in internal audits on specific topics:
• Contributing to internal audits focusing on finding solutions to important business issues identified during the operations.

Requirements / Required Education

Must have:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a financial and/or business controller, preferably in manufacturing or agriculture.
• Understanding of financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash flow)
• Analytical skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• English language – Intermediate/Advanced

Nice to have:
• Good understanding of commodity pricing, agricultural subsidies, and financial risk management specific to the farming industry.
• Proficiency in using digital infrastructure (ERP systems – preferably SAP, and Business Intelligence systems)
