Accountant, full-time

We are looking for a dedicated and organized Accountant to join our team. The role involves managing a portfolio of companies and performing monthly and annual financial-accounting operations, providing support in department development and ensuring data accuracy.

Duties

  • Portfolio management: Managing a portfolio of companies and introducing monthly accounting documents for the companies in the portfolio.
  • Period closures: Making month and year closures, respecting the deadlines and verifying the annual inventory documents of the patrimony.
  • Accounting verification: Checking and/or closing the income, expenses and VAT accounts, the accounting notes related to fixed assets, adjusting the monthly checking balances.
  • Taxation: Checking and/or establishing the payment taxes, alongside the verification/preparation of mandatory tax returns.
  • Assistance & Reporting: Providing assistance in various accounting issues and performing economic-financial analyses or other reports, at the company’s management request.
  • Control & Coordination: Ensuring the control of patrimonial operations at company level (processing procedures, data accuracy), including the preparation of department-specific reports.

Responsibilities

  • Data accuracy: Ensuring the control of patrimonial operations at company level and guaranteeing the accuracy of the accounting data provided.
  • Adherence to deadlines: Executing timely monthly/annual accounting closures and submitting mandatory tax returns.
  • Organizational support: Efficiently coordinating the subordinate team (juniors and seniors) and providing technical assistance in various accounting issues.

Requirements / Required Education

Must have:

  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position.
  • University Degree (Bachelor’s) in Accounting / Finance.
  • Thorough knowledge in the Financial-Accounting field.
  • PC operation knowledge and skills (speed) — MS Office package, internet.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Analytical, organized person, with the ability to efficiently manage time and priorities.
  • Personal profile: positive, balanced, responsible, honest, serious, and attentive to details.
  • Good communication skills, teamwork, and eagerness for training and professional development.

Nice to have:

  • Experience in the same field of activity as that of our company.
  • Knowledge of the SAP accounting program.
  • CECCAR membership and/or ACA, ACCA, CFA qualifications.
  • Valid driving license.
