About

Who we are

Founded in 2008 as a family business by Jan Gijsbertus de Boer, DN AGRAR Group operates in the heart of Transylvania, in the counties of Alba, Sibiu, and Hunedoara.
The Group operates an integrated business model based on milk production, crop farming, organic composting, and green energy, all supporting sustainable and circular agriculture.

With five large-scale farms and a livestock herd of over 16,000 heads, the company delivers approximately 70 million liters of milk annually, with the goal of doubling production to 150–200 million liters per year by 2030.

DN AGRAR Group is the largest cow’s milk producer in Europe and one of the leading integrated agri-food companies in Romania, listed on the Bucharest Stock Exchange since 2022.

DN AGRAR manages over 10,000 hectares of farmland and two composting units with an annual capacity of 14,000 tons of organic fertilizer, aiming to expand this to 40,000 tons by 2030.

The Group has tripled its business in just three years since listing and aims to double EBITDA by 2030, while also pursuing the goal of producing net zero-emission milk.

The History of DN AGRAR on the Romanian Market

DN AGRAR is strategically focused on sustainable growth, investing in digitalization and state-of-the-art technologies to increase efficiency and capacity.

Our ambitious future plans include the development of the new Straja farm (the fifth dairy farm – targeting a production of over 300,000 liters of milk per day and an annual output of more than 100 million liters starting in 2028), two composting plants, the implementation of industrial robots, and projects for solar energy solutions

Since its successful listing on the Bucharest Stock Exchange (AeRO market) in February 2022, following a private placement that raised 24.8 million RON in 2021, DN AGRAR has demonstrated outstanding performance.

Our inclusion in the BETAeRO indices, as well as in the international MSCI Frontier IMI and MSCI Romania IMI indices (Small Cap category), highlights our growing significance in the market.

GROWING TOGETHER

To support its development as a regional leader in dairy and premium food production, DN AGRAR’s strategy for 2030 integrates doubling milk production capacity with expansion into complementary business segments.

These include vertical wheat grass farms, aimed at providing 25% of the current feed requirements, biogas production in partnership, industrial greenhouses, and the expansion of composting infrastructure

Together, these initiatives are designed to enhance operational performance and efficiency, while also laying the groundwork for the development of agro-industrial clusters and projects that increase the added value of milk.

Beyond responsible growth, DN AGRAR is deeply committed to integrating circular economy practices, prioritizing animal welfare, reducing environmental impact, managing waste responsibly, and ensuring efficient resource management.
