Laboratory Specialist, full-time

The position of Laboratory Specialist is available within the Cut Farm, located in Câlnic village, Câlnic commune, no. FN, Alba County.

Job Requirements:

  1. Over 2 years of experience in Research & Development (R&D), Chemistry/Biochemistry, Quality Control, or Veterinary Medicine.
  2. Higher education degree in Veterinary Medicine, Biology, Animal Science, or related fields.
  3. Solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret results and translate data into clear, actionable steps.
  4. Proactive mindset, attention to detail, and a constant desire for professional learning and development.
  5. Professional demeanor: organized, personable, with the ability to effectively manage time and priorities.
  6. Fluent in English.
  7. Driving License: B-category driving license is considered an advantage.

Duties

1. Analysis and Testing: Performing specific analyses for milk, feed, blood, and colostrum samples.

2. Interpretation and Consulting: Interpreting laboratory results and formulating clear, practical recommendations for farm management teams.

3. Field Activity: Conducting periodic site visits to production units for direct animal observation and on-site process evaluations. 4. Digital Monitoring: Utilizing and monitoring advanced digital systems to manage health and reproduction alerts.

5. Infrastructure Development: Actively participating in the construction, equipping, and workflow organization of the new laboratory. 6. Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Maintaining constant communication with farm coordination teams to streamline operations.

Responsibilities

Data Accuracy: Guaranteeing the precision of laboratory results, given their direct impact on animal health and product quality.

Livestock Health and Productivity: Providing the analytical support necessary to maintain animals in optimal health and productivity states.

Process Efficiency: Responsibility for optimizing workflows through digital monitoring and proactive, data-driven interventions.

Business Impact: Ensuring quality standards within an expanding company, contributing directly to the group’s reputation.

Project Evolution: Acting as a "central pillar" in transforming the new laboratory concept into a functional, high-performance unit.

Requirements / Required Education

  • Over 2 years of experience in Research & Development (R&D), Chemistry/Biochemistry, Quality Control, or Veterinary Medicine
  • University Graduate
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
  • Punctual, reliable, and proactive in handling tasks
  • Local residency is a plus/advantage
