DN AGRAR Group:

"We are building a circular and sustainable future step by step and publishing, for the third year in a row, the Sustainability Report shows our commitment to do it in a transparent manner. In 2024, we reduced our energy intensity by 13%, launched our first composting facility, and formalized a strategic biomethane partnership with BSOG Energy. These milestones marked real progress on our path toward decarbonization and community resilience.

Our forward-looking vision is to responsibly manage the impact of our operations and cultivate a workplace where everyone can prosper while continuing to grow our business. As we continue to evolve our ESG framework, we aim to create lasting, positive changes for our stakeholders."

Key highlights from the 2024 Sustainability Report:

1.    Environmental impact

•    DN AGRAR continues to push forward with its sustainability initiatives, achieving a 13% reduction in energy intensity and 14% decrease in fuel consumption. These results show an improved operational efficiency in the context of business expansion in 2024, both in terms of the number of animals and two new major projects finalized - the compost factory built at the DN AGRAR Apold and first phase of Straja farm.
•    The company has also signed a cooperation agreement to build a 15 to 20 MW biomethane facility, which is expected to contribute to a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions and generate up to EUR 3.5 - 4 million in annual revenue.
•    Moreover, in 2024, for the first time, DN AGRAR widely adopted no-till and minimum-till technologies and abandoned deep tillage for all crops. This sustainable farming technologies positively impact our carbon footprint and will generate  carbon certificates.

2.    Circular economy & waste management

•    In line with its circular economy model, DN AGRAR finalized its first automated manure composting unit, which will convert 21,000 tons of manure into 7,000 tons of organic fertilizer annually. This expansion is part of the company’s ongoing effort to maximize resource efficiency and capitalize on the growing market for organic fertilizers.
•    The compost project addresses two major challenges: efficient manure management and improved soil fertility, while also contributing to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.
•    In addition, we launched the Gold Standard certification process for the production of organic fertilizer in the compost factory.

3.    Social contributions

•    The company continues to demonstrate a strong commitment to local communities, contributing RON 1.2 million, over 50% more than in 2023, toward the development of Romania’s first medical campus for premature infants, in partnership with the Maria Beatrice Association.
•    Additionally, DN AGRAR continues to provide high-quality jobs and professional training, with over 500 hours of professional development in 2024.

4.    Governance & transparency

•    Maintained a high level of transparency,  securing the maximum score VEKTOR by ARIR for investor communication.
•    The company remains fully committed to ethical business practices, with zero incidents of corruption reported in 2024.
