DN AGRAR held the Teleconference to present the
H1 2026 financial and operational results
|
The main aspects mentioned during the teleconference were:
|
✅ H1 2026 Financial Performance:
- Turnover of RON 90.3 million, which was adjusted due to a decline in the selling milk price.
- Net Profit (RAS) reached RON 13.72 million, influenced by financial expenses and foreign exchange losses.
- Net Profit (IFRS): RON 21 million, with a margin of 24%, driven by the valuation of biological assets and the recognition of grants.
- EBITDA (RAS) reached RON 36 million, with an EBITDA margin of 40%.
- EBITDA (IFRS): RON 41.6 million.
✅Total investments in the first half of the year reached approximately RON 33 million, allocated to the expansion of the Straja farm, the milk processing line, the composting facility at the Lacto Agrar farm, livestock equipment, and energy efficiency.
|
✅ Operational Highlights:
In a volatile market environment that has tested the resilience of the European dairy industry amid a global sector-wide price correction, DN AGRAR reaffirmed the strength of its integrated business model, reporting an increase in milk delivery volumes, rigorous management of operating costs, and steady progress in implementing the strategic projects outlined in the 2025–2030 Development Strategy.
- In the milk production segment, in H1 2026, DN AGRAR delivered 41 million liters of milk, 21% more than in H1 2025. This positive trend continued through the first 7 months of 2026, with an increase of +18%.
- Although the summer months brought a temporary slowdown caused by heat stress and the natural calving cycle, production is expected to resume at full capacity in September–October.
- Operational performance was supported by an increase in livestock numbers, which reached approximately 18.300 heads as of June 30, a 12% increase compared to June 2025.
- In the agricultural sector, initial soil moisture conditions were favorable and resulted in yields significantly higher than last season. The estimated yield for silage corn is 25 tons/ha (compared to 18 tons/ha in 2025), while the alfalfa crop reaches 15 tons/ha, more than double last year’s yield (7.3 tons/ha).
|
Progress on Strategic Projects:
▶️ Straja Farm:
- Current production: 50,000 liters of milk/day.
- By the end of 2026, the herd will reach 3.400 animals, supported by new infrastructure projects.
- The farm is integrated with the new processing facility for skim milk and cream.
- Full stocking is expected by the end of 2027, when the farm will reach maximum capacity and have an estimated production of 150.000 liters of milk per day.
|
▶️ Cut 2 Farm: Construction begins in 2026, supported by a EUR 10 million bank loan from ING Bank and 20% own contribution. Livestock populating on the farm is scheduled for 2028.
▶️ Dairy processing: The new line for cream and skimmed milk will start commercial production from September 2026. The transportation costs will be reduced significantly and the facility will process the entire output of the Straja farm.
▶️Expansion into the horticultural sector: The strategic acquisition of Panorganic Vitavit for EUR 750.000 enables DN AGRAR to expand into the horticultural sector. The hydroponic greenhouse will produce exclusively lettuce (target: 2 million plants per year from the company’s own seeds), marking the company’s entry into the regional retail market for fresh vegetables.
|
▶️ Compost: Funding of EUR 3.5 million was approved, to double capacity to 28.000 tons/year (2 new composting units) and launch a brand dedicated to the European market—Agrigold.
▶️ Vertical farming: A project developed at the Cut 1 farm, with an estimated production of 40 tons of fresh feed/day, to cover 30% of the farm’s needs.
▶️ Biomethane & Food Cluster: The biomethane project is moving forward with the permitting process, and for the Food Cluster, sites with quick access to the highway in the Bucharest area are being evaluated.
